Frankfurt/Munich/Berlin/Düsseldorf, July 19, 2016 – FleishmanHillard announced today that Volker Pulskamp has been appointed head of corporate communications at FleishmanHillard in Germany. Pulskamp is joining FleishmanHillard from WMF Group, where he was the vice president of global marketing. Before that, he spent eight years at Hering Schuppener, and, among other roles, was the managing director of corporate communications for the firm.
Pulskamp will report directly to Hanning Kempe, managing director of FleishmanHillard’s German operations, and will join the firm’s regional management team, whose German locations include Frankfurt, Berlin, Düsseldorf and Munich.
“With Volker Pulskamp, we are very pleased to have such an expert corporate communications professional. With the help of his extensive international experience, we will further expand our strategic consultancy predominantly in business and crisis communications, as well as in reputation management,” Kempe said about the new appointment.
After earning an economics degree from the Justus-Liebig University in Gießen, Pulskamp began his career as a trainee and editor at a news agency, before he subsequently moved on to work in communications consultancy for several international networks and owner-led agencies. Pulskamp has advised a variety of client companies in communications management, including BMW, Coca-Cola, Daimler, Südsalz, T-Systems, Toyota and WMF.
