Dr. Sebastian Schwark

Dr. Sebastian Schwark is Partner and Senior Vice President at FleishmanHillard Germany. He leads the Corporate Reputation Team and is an expert in professional reputation management. Sebastian helps companies and executives successfully understand and effectively address social issues and stakeholder demands in order to maintain or increase corporate profitability.

He has gained relevant experience on both sides of the Atlantic over the past twenty years: He was Managing Director at Edelman in Berlin, where he successfully built up the Corporate and Public Affairs division. As Portland office manager in New York, he has worked on behalf of foundations and corporations, primarily with the UN and other global institutions. And as Senior Vice President and Director of Public Affairs, respectively, at Hill + Knowlton Strategies in New York and Berlin, Dr. Schwark supported the energy transition in Germany and internationally.

In addition to his position at FleishmanHillard, Dr. Schwark is a Visiting Fellow at the German Marshall Fund of the United States. There, he leads a transatlantic platform that brings together business leaders with public officials and experts to strengthen the dialogue between business and society and develop new ideas about the changing societal role of business and entrepreneurs. Dr. Schwark received his doctorate from Göttingen with a thesis on German anti-Americanism.
