New Head of Corporate Public Affairs: Dr. Dominik Vorholt von Schimonsky

Dr. Dominik Vorholt von Schimonsky (39) is the new Head of Corporate Public Affairs at FleishmanHillard Germany. Together with his Berlin-based team, he advises clients across a range of industries on complex regulatory and political issues. He reports to Hanning Kempe, CEO of FleishmanHillard Germany, and is also a member of the Executive Committee.

His responsibilities include analyzing political and regulatory environments, developing strategic recommendations, and supporting clients in implementing them.

“Companies today operate in an increasingly complex political and regulatory environment. Dominik combines a deep understanding of political processes with many years of consulting experience and a clear perspective on the business challenges our clients face. His appointment strengthens both our Corporate Public Affairs offering and our strategic advisory capabilities in Berlin,” said Hanning Kempe, CEO of FleishmanHillard Germany.

Vorholt brings approximately 15 years of experience across politics, public administration, and strategic consulting. Most recently, he served as Desk Officer for France and Luxembourg in the Europe Directorate-General of Germany’s Federal Foreign Office. He also held leadership positions at several strategic communications consultancies and, from 2018 to 2022, headed the parliamentary office of former Federal Minister of Health Hermann Gröhe.

Vorholt earned his doctorate from the University of Potsdam in 2018, focusing on political interest representation. From 2020 to 2024, he also served as an adjunct lecturer at the Universities of Osnabrück and Münster.

“FleishmanHillard combines in-depth political counsel with broad communications expertise and a strong international network. I look forward to working with the team to develop solutions that provide our clients with direction and help them advance their interests credibly and effectively within the political process,” said Dr. Dominik Vorholt von Schimonsky.
